September

WELCOME TO BLOGTOBER!!! I reached my monthly reading goal of 5 (well, 4.5) this month and I am pretty happy with how I went. This month was pretty crazy with Ned getting home from a two month tour in America and working an anime festival, I am super surprised I got as far as I did/had any time to get any ready done. Thank god for interstate travel giving me a few extra hours to get some reading done.

Throughout September I read and a few quick points about what I liked about each one:

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before – Jenny Han

  • LOVED THIS!
  • The Dad is fantastic – my Dad is kind of like this Dad
  • Kitty is my spirit animal
  • Peter Kavinsky for the win
  • Best light and fluffy read this year

Vicious – V.E Schwab

  • Great story telling
  • I’m way too attached to the characters
  • I WISH MY COPY OF VENEGFUL WOULD GET HERE ALREADY
  • This story really confirmed why I love V.E Schwab
  • The dog named Dol is a great dane! How great is that?!

Sadie – Courtney Summers

  • One perspective of the book is written as a podcast script and I absolutely love that
  • Sadie is super badass
  • The ending left me speechless
  • It was nice to read about a place that exists. I’ve been lost in fantasy land for awhile now LOL!

What If It’s Us? – Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera

  • I love Ben, Arthur is so much like me that he’s annoying
  • Note to self – go to Broadway and see Hamilton
  • The parents in this book are hilarious
  • This book had super good vibes meets fluffy light read and I loved it

Shadow and Bone – Leigh Bardugo (well 50% of Shadow and Bone)

  • Incredible world building
  • I am in awe of the magic aspects
  • Interested to see how the romance develops between Alina and The Darkling

  1. Ooh that looks like a great month! I managed to read only two books 🙄 I like how you included short snippets of what you liked from the books 👍
