About Me

20 Facts about ME!

To be honest, I was an OVERSHARER! I didn’t mind what I tell people, how long I have known them, if I was sober of if I was drunk – they were going to know my business. However, I have started to pull back on that a little bit. Becoming an introvert over the last few months has kept me sane and also stopped my anxiety from wrecking havoc on my body and mind.

By putting out 20 facts about me, I am opening up a little bit about myself and letting people who read my blog know more about me. The things I am comfortable sharing with people now. These facts are what I wish people knew about me and that’s all they knew about me (dammit drunk oversharing Cat!)

  1. Music is very important to me but it has also been there every step of my relationship with Ned. We met at a Dance Gavin Dance gig, made our relationship official after a Young Lions gig and said we love each other at the last ever Motion City Soundtrack concert in Sydney. I wonder where our journey will head 😉
  2. I was vegan for 2 years, vegetarian for 6. I recently had to start eating fish to help with my brain (easiest way to describe it) and so it could absorb some newly prescribed medications. I am completely ok with it – and I have been incredibly scared of the backlash from people who are my vegan friends.
  3. When I finished school I studied a Bachelor of Social Science and graduated with a Major in Criminology.
  4. Throughout primary school and highschool, I played classical music, I can play flute and clarinet and I absolutely adored it.
  5. My favourite movies are action and psychological thrillers. Although I have a huge soft spot for a good teenage rom-com.
  6. My first job out of university is the job that I currently have. I work at a software and gaming peripherals distribution company. I have been here for almost 4.5 years.
  7. Dogs are my favourite animal – I can remember nearly every dog that I have had. My first dog was a chihuahua x Jack Russell that my Dad had named Sixpence (because she was the smallest of the litter). The dog that I have now is Hannibal and he is an English Staffy x Jack Russell and he’s such a goofball.
  8. Food is very important to me and there isn’t a lot of food that I won’t eat! I do not like raw mushrooms or blueberries though. They both taste like dirt.
  9. When I was younger I went through so many phases of what I wanted to be when I grew up. First, it was a nurse, then a lawyer, then a police officer, a federal police officer, then a lawyer again and lastly an intelligence officer with the Australian Defence Force. I could have done any of those, but I headed straight for marketing and PR. Lots more fun I think!
  10. Friends are important to me and I don’t have a lot of them. I like to keep my friendship circle smaller of late and I am enjoying being able to maintain the relationships that I have now.
  11. Currently, I am building my own gaming PC. I am really excited and will hopefully have it finished before February. I’ve had a lot of help from friends so I am really stoked on how it is coming together.
  12. I’ve always wanted to travel! Last year I finally got to go to Los Angeles for the first time in my entire life (I am 28 years old). Ned and I went for 3 weeks and had an absolute blast! Can’t wait to go back, next stop New York City.
  13. Tattoos are a cool part of me and who I am. I probably have around 18 tattoos (not that I am counting or anything). I am definitely getting more and can’t wait to share them all with you.
  14. I am OBSESSED with Youtubers – they can be vloggers, beauty bloggers, Shane Dawsonesque. I will watch almost anything that is funny and interesting. At the moment I am really enjoying watching Shane Dawsons series on different influential people.
  15. All up I have 5 siblings! I am the eldest of the 6 of us and the youngest is 11! We don’t really hang out with each other. Minus my sister Emily and I. We are the closest in age. Literally… she was born 8 days before my 1st birthday, meaning for 8 days a year we are the same age.
  16. My Dad is the reason that I read so much. He is such a great person and has impacted my life very positively for all of my life. Most girls will say that their mum is their best friend, however, my Dad is mine. Thanks, Dad!
  17. Mental health is so incredibly important to me! So I am a huge advocate for speaking out about speaking up. If you ever need someone to talk to I am here to be a good listener (reader). You might think it’s lame but I really do care about what people are going through and if they have someone to help them out.
  18. I don’t watch a lot of television. but when I do I am binge-watching TV shows on Netflix. Lately, I have become obsessed with Shadowhunters and The Good Cop.
  19. Summer is my favourite time of year, I honestly love the hot weather and get so excited when it gets to the end of November.
  20. I am terrified of falling. Not heights, they are fine. I am terrified of falling from them though.

  1. Ah, I’m also afraid of falling! Many people do not understand it. Like, no, I’m not actually scared of the height itself, I’m not agoraphobic, nothing the kind… But come on, I’m so clumsy, I could easily fall down from anywhere 😅
